Nope, it arrived in pristine condition. Amazon's packaging is pretty good.

I saw that thought about it. I got the DVD in a pack of 80's Horror movies.

It's meh; I don't like it enough to buy the Blu. It's OK. But it goes from decent to just boring stupid too much.

I like it. However, I do have a lot of love for silly '80s horror films in many respects. I was going to hold off on this until I got back home to do a bulk order, but it was 7.99 delivered as part of Arrow's Halloween sale so was too good of a deal to pass on.

Anyone know what this is like?

http://www.arrowfilms.co.uk/index.php?tle_id=621&art_id=4

I have it, and it is a very good release. The steelbook is fantastic too, and that is a decent price - as long as the shipping is reasonable.

Synapse in the US are also releasing Demons and Demons 2 in separate steelbooks very soon (you can pre-order from their site or Diabolik DVD). They are very expensive compared to the Arrow release though ($46 each I think), but the transfers are supposed to be better and they have more/different extras.

Arrow also released the two Demons films separately on Blu too. The separate releases come with a pretty cool 'Demons 3' comic, which isn't available with the steelbook.

I've never seen them though; are they worth it? That adjusts to about $15.22 in my currency, not sure what postage is.

Regardless it's pretty cheap for two films. And it they are good transfers/released all the better.

Me not being you, I wouldn't know whether you'd like them...  :grimace: but, all I can say is that I love both films. They're cheesy Italian horror films filled with great possession FX scenes, stupid shit (motorbike riding, samurai sword wielding cinema patrons; helicopters falling through roofs etc. in the first film), and cheesy dialogue. They're directed by Bava Jr. and were co-produced and co-written by Argento, so take from that what you will. However, these films tend to split horror audiences, with people both loving them and not being a fan of them. The second one tends to get a lot of hate but I really like it, and as horror sequels go it is one of my favourites.

I suppose you could always try and check out the trailers or some online reviews before you buy, but you will only have until 12.00 PM GMT time today to make a decision before the price reverts back to normal and they replace it with another sale item.

Bear in mind also that Amazon have sold the steelbook for 12.99 before (as have other places), but 9.99 is still pretty hard to beat.
