Black Mirror {Series 1}
« on: March 02, 2013, 10:38:42 PM »

Black Mirror is a hybrid of The Twilight Zone and Tales of the Unexpected which taps into our contemporary unease about our modern world. The three stand-alone dramas will be sharp, suspenseful, satirical tales with a techno-paranoia bent - all audacious ‘what if' stories: some comic, some shocking.

Series 1

The National Anthem
      A British princess ends up being kidnapped. The ransom for her safe return is that the Premier has to have sex with a pig live on television.

Fifteen Million Merits
     Dark satire set in a future reality where everyone is confined to a life of physical drudgery - unless they can impress the judges of a popular talent show. Written by Charlie Brooker and Konnie Huq, and starring Daniel Kaluuya, Rupert Everett, Jessica Brown Findlay, Julia Davis and Ashley Thomas.

The Entire History of You
     Horror, written by Peep Show co-creator Jesse Armstrong, set in a near-future where memory implants record everything people see, do and hear. However, though this technological advance means no-one need ever forget a face again, it also has some very worrying drawbacks. Starring Toby Kebbell, Jodie Whittaker and Tom Cullen. Last in the series.

Ah, another UK show I got to watch.  Especially since Charlie Brooker is behind it!
