Resident Evil
« on: February 21, 2020, 04:42:15 AM »
Wasn't sure whether to put this in franchise or zombie but they are zombie movies.

I saw the first three REs in cinemas then lost interest, but I decided to check out the rest of the series and it's pretty good.  Paul Anderson is underrated as a director and I usually check out his stuff.

Resident Evil (2002) - my favourite in the series.  Best soundtrack too by Marilyn Manson.

Resident Evil:  Apocalypse (2004) - my second favourite.  Jill Valentine is smokin'.

Resident Evil:  Extinction (2007) - this is when it got a bit silly with clones and psychic powers but I like the post-apocalyptic setting reminded me of Mad Max 2 and Day of the Dead.

Resident Evil:  Afterlife (2010) - just watched this and actually like this one.

Resident Evil:  Retribution (2012) - haven't seen it yet.

Resident Evil:  The Final Chapter (2016) - this goes back to the setting of the first movie.  I like it, but the editing is way too overdone.
