Andrew Copp 1972 - 2013
« on: January 26, 2013, 01:55:31 AM »

Andrew Copp 10th August 1973 to 19th January 2013. Mr Copps had taken his own life. I won't go into any speculations why as this is a thread on the celebration of a man.

Me being me I didn't quite know who he was exactly so felt the need to find out more about the man. So hence this thread for others like me.

He was an Independent Film Maker, actor, artist and writer. Counted amongst his friends were Jim VanBebber, Michael Todd Schneider, Fred Vogel and Andrey Iskanov. So going just by this makes him a man I would want to view the movies of. They all held him in high esteem and were quite naturally very sad at his passing.

He directed ~

THE MUTILATION MAN (1998)

Freakshow Deluxe ~ video documentary ~ (2003)

Black Sun (2003)

Atrocity Circle (2005)

Quiet Nights of Blood and Pain (2009)

He has also directed a bunch of short films which I will add soon!

And Acted in ~

My Sweet Satan ~ Party Kid ~ (1994)

The Manson Family ~ Paul ~ (2003)

Black Sun ~Poem Reading Voice ~ (2003)

Slumber Party Murder Mania ~ Mr. Aarons ~ (2004)

Faces of Schlock ~ The Reverend  / segment "Diagnoses Terror" ~ (2005)

Atrocity Circle ~ Angry Rapist ~ (2005)

Filthy McNastiest: Apocalypse Fuck! ~ Eugene Duqua ~ (2005)

Ingression ~ TV News Announcer / voice ~ (2010)

I was shocked when I heard about it.  I had him on my friends list on Facebook.  Sometimes he would comment on my posts and I would comment on his.  His films were something else though.  RIP good sir.  :despair:

I shared Fred Vogel's post about this on Jim VanBebber's page as Andrew Copp worked as an SFX artist on VanBebber's 'The Manson Family'.

Copp actually wrote an unproduced sequel to 'Last House on Dead End Street'. The project fell apart when Roger Watkins died.

I remember reading that now, I had thought it might have been a go ahead until Andy died. My mistake, probably tired at the time or something. Thanks for that.

Yes it is sad Sic : (
