Probably wrong place to post this, anyone else a fan? It's sword/sorcery, my favourite genre other than horror.
Some people would say it's cheesy, I love this film, probably my favourite film of all time. The whole quest aspect, King Arthur (but not about him but one of his knights), weird random stuff including the supernatural. Great cast including Sean Connery, Peter Cushing, Ronald Lacey, David Rappaport, John Rhys Davies.. a great cast of British actors. Miles O Keefe isn't bad either, his voice is dubbed but he looks the part. The armour by legendary armour maker Terry English (who worked on Excalibur and Aliens). The castles, locations, etc.
Should be more well known. And still no bluray release.

Seen this as a child but apart from that cannot really comment.
Use to play when they had midday movies here in the 80s before the Stations realised there was more money with stupid shows like The Midday Show and the Merican stuff like Donahue etc etc etc and destroyed the chance of watching these cool as fuck movies.
Used to play a few Dinosaur movies. Godzilla ones etc etc.
Bill Collins sure could prattle on though...he was more musicals though fro memory he did show a few cowboy movies.

80s midday movie - that's probably how I first saw it, as a small child. And I remembered it all those years later.

Was the same with
7 Faces of Dr. Lao
(1964), it said with me from those times so when I spotted it in Melbourne last ear I grabbed it. Funny enough it was exactly how I remembered it too...like with
Sword of the Valiant
for you.

Dr Lao I actually sought out once.. haven't seen that in years, though. Great film, I love that film too.
