I'll see it sometime this weekend. Maybe next week. No rush.

Update - My friend just told me he got tickets for Saturday. I'll be going then.

After sleeping on it. I fucking loved it.

A little score heavy at times but so damn good.

One scene almost took me out of it and could of ruined the flick if they pushed it further. BUT, it didn’t happen. And in the end, they were able to pull off the proper atmosphere that is halloween with slight modifications for the modern audience. I still enjoy '78 much more, and thats probably an obvious statement for most of us, but this is one of the good ones. Ill most likely end up seeing it again before it leaves the theater. So there you go. Go see Halloween.

Absolutely a brilliant film! Michael was brutal as fuckkk! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!  :red_heart:

Four things made this  movie for me. Michael, the music score and the cinematography. And the KILLS! Off screen slaughter was just as wonderful as on. You saw his aftermath and it was beautiful! Only one part got me saying, oh fuck no! Lets not do this...and they stopped. Thank fuck. Didn't like it at all but it quickly redeemed themselves. Whew!

Yes, this is Halloween 78 for the 2000's! Lucky us.

1978 Halloween owns my heart, always.   :black_heart:

I’m pretty sure we’re talking about the same scene where we are like “oh fuck no, please” haha.

Loved it. Cant stop thinking about it.

Again, pretty sure I know what your referring to lol and I'm sooo glad they didn't go with it!!

Michael seemed proper brutal and gore wasn't half bad either. A couple of homages to the original which I really liked :)

Worth waiting for and I'm hoping their gonna do a special blu Ray edition packed with features!!

So this came out today here and I checked it out this arv. I've kept off forums to avoid spoilers.

I was expecting to like it but I was totally blown away. I love all the little nods to the original. I love how Laurie has been traumatized. Jamie Lee is phenomenal in this. John Carpenter's score is absolutely fucking beautiful as well. God it elevates the film to a whole new level. I love Bill Patton too. So, yeah.

It's my second favourite in the franchise.

Halloween 2 (1981)
Halloween 2 (2018.)
Halloween (1978.)
Halloween 4: Return of Michael Myers (1988.)
Halloween 6: Curse of Micheal Myers (1995)
Halloween (2007)
Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989)
Halloween: H20 Twenty Years Later (1998.)
Halloween Resurrection (2002)
Every other movie ever
Halloween 2 (2009)

I left out Halloween 3: Season of the Witch due to it not being the Myers story. Were I to include that it would be second or third on the list.

I thought this movie was pretty damn awesome...was overall very happy with how it played out....cannot agree more about how brutal Michael was....My only negative take was there needed to include a true Sex followed Immediately (or during) death scene like so many horror movies of the 70's/80's.

8/10

I really loved that they mentioned his little "babysitter killer" nickname and actually killed a babysitter in this film too

More then a fitting sequel to the original!

Got goosebumps watching the opening credits then we get into the movie...

Loved all the pointers to the original along with II and her even III with the Trick Or Treaters and their masks etc.

Nice kills to boot...loved the head stomp!

Don't get the little bits of hate I have seen for this...guess cannot make everyone happy.
