Crepitus {2017}
« on: February 19, 2017, 09:31:14 AM »

“Seventeen year old Elizabeth and her younger sister Sam are thrust into circumstances more terrifying than life with their abusive, drunken mother when they are forced to move into their deceased Grandfather’s house. Frightened beyond belief, they are forced to learn horrible things about their family history. Never mind the ghosts in the house, there is something far worse that takes an interest in them … a cannibalistic clown named Crepitus.”

Directed by Haynze Whitmore. This is Haynze Whitmore’s directorial debut for a feature film. The film is being shot entirely in Cheboygan, MI.

Looks very promising, very whatever reason almost got a Billy Pon feel with the vibe. The world needs more quality clown horror....at the least i want more anyway!

Creepy & Unsettling!
18 October 2019 | by stewsith

I was lucky enough to see this at Spooky Empire 2018 where the film won 'Best Feature'. Crepitus is well scripted with a steady pace which slowly unfolds its sinister tale that I won't spoil here. There is an eldritch, Loveraftian element at play with the titular villain of the film that is executed very well through the scenes he's in, played by horror legend Bill Moseley (Devil's Rejects, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2). The film has a fantastic creepy atmosphere that will delight fans of slow burn horror and is an impressive example of what can be achieved in a contained location.

A crunch, a munch, a jingle
He'll make your spine a-tingle.
It's your fingers he wants to eat
That clown says they’re tender and sweet.
And when you're ten, he comes
again, for the remaining bits of your meat.
The moon will be bright, and if you
catch a sight his crooked ol' Crepitus pout,
Then you better run fast cuz he'll
snatch your ass and EAT ALL YOUR
INSIDES OUT!!
