Hi Splat Well, here is my opinion - as a film fan, not as a film maker as i clearly lack experience in this field. Generally I thing you did everything well and everything seems to be right, except some minor things i notices. What camera do you use for filming? Did you use filters? I found the quality not to be the best. If you use filters, use more light when shooting. You can buy cheap lamps at home depot that do the job. Some scenes seem a little long to me. My main point of critique is the baby. I know it is really hard to get that to look realistic, and yours is a thousand times better than the baby in el gore's snuff antholoy, but still a tad bit unrealistic - but you did a good job at covering that with the slime. So, now for the positive part. The sound was a perfect match, it transports a sick atmosphere. The acting was very convincing and the cuts you made were spot on. The whole atmosphere seemes very sick to me, and making it black and white made it even darker. Continue doing what you do and I am really looking forward to seeing more of your stuff. Too bad, that you live on the other end of the world ... I would have loved to colloberate with you :) but maybe we can one day make something like an anthology with other underground movie makers :) so long, all the best and best wishes from austria!

Thanks dobermann for taking the time out to give me your feedback!

OFF{al} aka awful aka offal etc etc was done on the fly...then not, as there were weeks of....nothing done. Then I would kick my arse and get into it again.

All the filming was done at night after my Dad and dogs went to bed. usually got done around 3am, usually got started around 11ish.

Used the iMovies for the filtering...and that was layered...out of necessity with how the programme works. Would save then put the saved back in and go over with what I felt would do the rick and get the look I wanted.

Baby was luck. Bought one off eBay and came with no torso...as I didn't read the description properly. THEN I found a complete baby. Used the original head and limbs on the torso of the new baby.

Promised Yan a short and he got it. Then did the new one with the black and white as I felt it HAD to be different.

Daniel from HM&M got that one for his own compilation as he asked if I was interested. Made sure he got the audio right this time as THAT was important...

Love both but the black & white version is the exact vision I was after down today the T!

MagGot shared it with a dear friend of his. In the accompanying chat I mentioned a third version. Will be doing an Extreme limitted release..BUT that too has to be my own never before seen version.

Have a fairly clear vision of what I am after.

Yan is going to use some elements of his cut in the new short film he is working on, Followers of the Dead Light. He asked me and naturally I was more than cool with it...

PS my short film can be found on Page 2 I believe if anyone is interested. Will have a new cut out at some point. Cannot believe it has been two years already.
