It's a very powerful and truthful image.  Yes, we are 'fucked' from birth.  Not just in Serbia, but in Serbia it might be more obvious, hence "Serbian Film".

Nothing can illustrate that better than literally showing a newborn getting fucked.  Truth in art.

The first time I watched this film I was still in high school, barely knew of extreme cinema, still on mainstream horror digging to find anything good, anything different. I remember the newborn porn scene was such a shock to me at the time but wasn't a scene that left much lingering memories. Looking back on it and watching it again, it's definitely nothing to complain about, there are far worse things out in the world.

Never really thought of the metaphorical significance either until reading your discussions about it. It really is art.
