mentalheadtraumafilms is an underground film production project run by yours truly, Splat. I had always wanted to be involved with films since a fairly young age but was always held back by barriers within my own mind; of believing that this is beyond me and just forget about it.

Biography

My dream was given birth back in 2012 after viewing Ronny Carlssonís Experimental Films From the Lense of a Shitty Camcorder. Ronny showed me film doesnít need to be expensive with high tech equipment to have something to offer!

Near the end of 2012 brought together ideas of short films I wanted to do, including storyboards and such. Along with this I purchased my first camera, a shitty camcorder but hey itís not about the equipment but what it depicts!

2013 was a year of throwing down ideas and kicking myself for accidentally throwing out my cameras wall charger. Along with this having the vision of what I wanted to be like within my films. So I worked my arse of to lose the weight. Going from 105kg down to the present moments 84kg and finally growing my hair.

In 2014 I brought out my first short, a rough and tumble affair I called Motherís Day. It was shot on a basic Nikon Coolpix 12.0 Megapixels. It was influenced by the Australian short film Tough (2010) by the Von Claude brothers!

Mission

mentalheadtraumafilms has two missions for itís existence! Ultra low budget film production company keeping to the Underground with experimental and gore films of the disturbing and hopefully, horrific!

Along with this mentalheadtraumafilms is also a vehicle to get the word out on Extreme Horror Cinema and the filmmakers we support. Of creating; promotional videos, video reviews and the like.

Now that I am reaching my vision of what I wanted to present in my films I have decided to do this here thread to have a work journal for people to follow my dream I have had since as a child of being a filmmaker. I wonít promise it will be exciting reading, pics or whatever all the time but I am sure from time to time insane calamity will erupt as after all it is me doing this!

Please feel free to reply in here with whatever you like.

Is that you mate? You're looking really fucking into it! Glad to see people doing their best to do what they love. The company name makes me think of the Skinny Puppy - Head Trauma Tour.
"I love to kill people. I love to watch them die. I would shoot them in the head and they would wiggle and squirm all over the place, and then just stop. Or I would cut them with a knife and watch their faces turn real white. I love all that blood." - Richard Ramirez

Keep it up, we need your kind of people, otherwise there would be no "extreme cinema".

The paper towel covered in blood looks really good. I like the idea of covering them in some liquid latex though also. For the short gore scene I'm working on right now for my YouTube channel I used the packing peanut intestine method.
