True Detective
« on: January 13, 2014, 08:09:57 PM »
True Detective is an American television anthology drama series on HBO created and written by Nic Pizzolatto, with the first season directed by Cary Fukunaga. Season one stars Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson, Michelle Monaghan, Michael Potts, and Tory Kittles, and utilizes multiple timelines to trace two Louisiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division homicide detectives' hunt for a serial killer in Louisiana across seventeen years. The premiere season debuted on January 12, 2014 and will consist of eight episodes.

This was absolutely  amazing. The look, the atmosphere, the music and the combination of Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson makes this... just brilliant!

On UHM BurnettRhodes posted a link to some info about the show... and the yellow king in particular. In 5 episodes, this might have become the best thing on tv... I mean the end scene in the ghetto of episode 4... Holy shit.

My only complaint... rumor is they are doing the AHS route, and changing actors and setting every year.

Me and my wife can't believe we haven't been watching this series. How many episodes have we missed since it started?

I just finished up this show, simply amazing. Such great characters and the writings. One of the best shows that has been on TV. I can't wait til we see next season, wonder what it will be.

Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson were brilliant!

Well we finished watching the final 4 episodes of True Detective and loved it. What a great 1st season it was with a good plo, great characters and awesome actors.

Too bad McConaughey and Harrelson don't wanna come back for a 2nd season.
