There was a pre-release version but that has sold out. I believe the proper release is sometime early 2014. Yes it really is worth the wait for, a great really well made film!

August aunderground: mordum, necrophile passion, they all must die (dont consider it horror, but extreme in context). Just a few to list from my shelf.

I gotta go through this thread, didn't even know it existed. Will give Millennium Bug and Pieces of Talent a watch this week though.

Martyrs is a good watch too. Well made, well shot and pretty damn brutal. Don;t know whether this fits in too well with the likes of Mordum and Necrophile, but I definitely enjoyed it

Though far from 'Underground' I agree that Martyrs is indeed worth a watch to ANYONE interested in the more hard hitting stuff.

Though visually, it's not the most brutal thing I've seen, it's still a very hard watch.. And it leaves you feeling physically sick when the credits start to roll. I just remember sitting there, with this sick sensation in my guts and thinking "Wow...".

It's grim, harsh and just fucking depressing.. I shudder to think what the yanks are going to do with their remake, they've already said they are going to make the ending.. more 'positive'.  :hahanot:

A happy ending?

Fuck......that.

The movie is amazing the way it is and shouldn't be touched.

Yeah, making the ending lighter.. Will have the film lose so much of it's effect.

Fuck that, I'll likely be giving it a pass anyway.

You could argue it is a happy ending as it is the end of her suffering

The Turnpike Killer is most certainly one all fans of Underground cinema should get their hands on! Luckily it is getting a re-release sometime later this year. Once the details are up I will share them.

I'm interested in a lot of what I have read here but I'm not big on downloading full movies (as I myself want to be a writer/director). Are these movies accessible in a more legal way that isn't going to cost me $60 or more a pop?

I'll dl them if I have to but I would prefer not to. That's like punching my peers in the fucking face.
