All Night Long 3 (1996)
« on: February 07, 2013, 07:59:54 AM »
Katsuya Matsumura's "All Night Long 3" is pretty much on the same level with "All Night Long 2"(1995),and has the most pessimistic tone of the whole series as it suggests that humans are nothing but filth and rubbish.Kikuo is a Japanese boy who works in a sleazy hotel where men bring women for sex.One day he takes bag which contains a woman's personal items that she has thrown away.Becoming increasingly interested,he starts obsessively collecting her refuse."All Night Long 3" is by far the most extreme of the three films and the hardest to watch. The violence is extremely graphic in this part and comes sudden and shocking to hit the viewer numb. Some scenes like a brutal torture, murder and dismemberment of a young Japanese girl are truly sickening.

I've been meaning to watch this for quite a while but every time I go to something comes up. I understand both you and Wooden think this is an amazing film.

Any clue where I could track this and the first one down? I can only ever find two which I really enjoyed.
Probably typed with a cat trying to steal my computer.

I love love love this movie. IMO it ranks as one of the most depraved films ever, although many will disagree. There is not one, not one pleasant scene in this movie. I'm going to put up threads for the rest of the series. There are 6 films. Part 1 is solid. Part 2 many consider just as exteme as 3 if not more (I disagree). Part 4 has its moments. Part 5 is meh'. Part 6 was a huge disappointment, but is worth checking out IMO. :)

If I run across any links I'll PM them to you Prime. :)

Thankie I've been told by most of what I've read to stop at 3 but if it is worth it I'll give the other parts a shot.

I was in love with the series before the last three were released, so I had to see them. If you are like me and have to it all, then ya they are worth checking out, all of them have their moments (except maybe part 5). But, if you just see the first 3 it is pretty much the best the series has to offer. :)

This is strange to only include the 3rd part, though I do see as it would be chosen as the darkest...

I liked it better than the second, I'll top it with the first one, although has the same problem with boring and poorly executed scenes.

The film is anyways fascinatingly depraved and nihilistic and worth watching.
