Dark Days (2000)

Near Penn Station, next to the Amtrak tracks, squatters have been living for years. Marc Singer goes underground to live with them, and films this "family." A dozen or so men and one woman talk about their lives: horrors of childhood, jail time, losing children, being coke-heads. They scavenge, they've built themselves sturdy one-room shacks; they have pets, cook, chat, argue, give each other haircuts. A bucket is their toilet. Leaky overhead pipes are a source of water for showers. They live in virtual darkness. During the filming, Amtrak gives a 30-day eviction notice.

Infierno o Paraíso (2014)

An addict fighting to conquer his demons, Jose escapes from the streets of Bogota and build a new life with his family in Spain. But when the global economic crisis threatens to take everything away again, he must call on his survivor's spirit to prevail. Using the language of cinema verite, the film follows ten years of Jose's life from Colombia, Venezuela and Spain, beginning as a homeless addict with few hopes for the future. Jose moves from the shadowy Cartucho Street, into a treatment center and after great efforts he manages to overcome his addiction, only to face new challenges that test his spirit.

Kadaverficker The Movie  (2016) Documentary of German Grindcore band that has also played a part in a number of German Splatter films with soundtracks. Brought back some nice alcohol fuelled memories. Not for everyone I guess.

Red Obsession (2013)

6/10

I'm a wine person, more than a job is a passion, and I've been living for three years in the South of China (that's about to change in the next few weeks) so i couldn't miss this one. If you are not into wine you'd better give it a pass.

Workingman's Death (2005)

Is heavy manual labor disappearing or is it just becoming invisible?
Where can we still find it in the 21st century?
Workingman's Death follows the trail of the HEROES in the illegal mines of the Ukraine, sniffs out GHOST among the sulfur workers in Indonesia, finds itself face to face with LIONS at a slaughterhouse in Nigeria, mingles with BROTHERS as they cut a huge oil tanker into pieces in Pakistan, and joins Chinese steel workers in hoping for a glorious FUTURE.

Meanwhile, the future is now in Germany, where a major smelting plant
of bygone days has been converted into a bright and shiny leisure park.

Rats (2016)

Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me) takes us on an unnerving (and sometimes grisly) globe-trotting journey to explore different cultures’ methods of controlling, killing, or profiting off the common rat.

Slaughter In Syracuse 2015 Disc 2. This is the one with the on stage chat with magGot, Vogel, Biro, Koch etc etc Also interview with some other guys including Luke Ramer. Motivating and interesting...tonne of re-watch value! Everyone had something interesting to state, especially for the budding filmmakers out there.
