I agree with Blood.
NEW films on Blu loo very crisp, sharp and shit, mostly only the new ones though.
The older ones (depending on transfers) generally hold grain, and the like, especially horror. Why? Because they understand it's important. Yet, things still look better past the grain. Not to mention sound better.
Bluray is pretty much as close as you can get to the Directors vision, and, as Blood said, is pretty well the exact quality a cinema offers.
I used to be 100% anti-BluRay. I hated them... Until I watched a few, now, DVD's? Yeah, fuck those things.

I find it funny people who haven't watched blus at all, or enough casting judgement.
Hey, guess what. You watch something like Night of the Living Dead, or Suspiria, orrr Hellraiser or what fucking ever other classic... It looks 10x more "film" like than any DVD out there. All you idiots who claim to 'love the look' of film... That's exactly what Blu does. In its purest form. Infact, a lot of films have more grain than their DVD counterparts. Yet the image has an overall sharpness that transcends.
It is amusing looking back on conversations where people obviously have absolutely no fucking clue as to what they're talking about. Ha, classic internet.

Very crisp!
Glad the Aussie release went with the original poster art. Gave me goose bumps when I spotted THAT on the shelf at JBs!
