Bone Sickness (2004)
« on: February 23, 2013, 03:19:54 PM »

A debilitating sickness rages through a man that the doctors have no cure for. His wife with the aid of his best friend try to find a cure within alternative medicine.

Part of that cure comes from the grave. Unknowingly though it has a side effect that changes everything for the worst. Finding this his friend, a morgue attendant, tries for fresher ingredients.

On top of this the dead arise to avenge for the desecration of their rest!

BONE SICKNESS is the 2004 zombie movie from Brian Paulin. It is my first viewing of a Morbid Vision Films and has stayed with me as one of my favourites. Crammed full of awesome imagery and gore it is a great watch.

I love Bone Sickness and I'm friends with Brian Paulin. It's my fave film of his. I loved how he made the zombie makeup in the film and the gore also.

He pretty much does everything which is uber awesome in my books! :yay: Shame the treatment he was getting though with his earlier movies from the distributers...talks about it in the special features of FETUS.

Just re-watched this take on the Italian Zombie Cycle and love it even more...re-did the thread as well to make it look better, probably revisit and improve even more  :exciting:

Bone Sickness
Did you know that the pool zombie scene wasn’t even shot for Bone Sickness? It was actually shot a year and a half before for a movie Rich George and I were going to make called Eat the Dead. Rich wanted to do a scene under water as a zombie but it was already September in 2000 so we quickly filmed the scene with Tonya Hennessy before the water became too cold. But once the scene was shot I was unhappy with the storyline and scrapped the movie. Two years later we asked Tonya to come back and film extra shots for Bone Sickness so we could use the scene. You’ll notice when she is putting on her bikini it’s different than the one she’s wearing in the pool. But we figured the scene starts with her topless so no ones going to notice.
