Sunk into the Womb (2013)
A life of a mother and her two children breaking down quietly without showing any events happening out of their house. The film is about a child neglect and a corruption of the belief, motherhood exists in all female, based on a true incident happened in Osaka, Japan.-From Letterboxd

From director Takaomi Ogata who did one my favorite films Body Temperature (2011). Body Temperature is about a man and his love doll. It's fucked up in a quirky sad kind of way. It's a good movie. Sunk into the Womb is a whole nother level of Fucked Up. Just disturbing, the best way to describe it is Misery Porn.

Sunk into the Womb really upset me. It's a movie that will stay with me for awhile and not something I ever care to see again.

What I've been watching over the last few days. Did a deep dive on "Elevated Horror" lol. My favorite was Midsommar, my least favorite was Hereditary. But overall I liked them all. Survive Style 5+ was a bit of a disappointed but the ending might land in my all time top 10 favorite endings ever. And Bullhead is a good Oscar nominated drama from 2011. Overall a decent couple of days of movie watching

Savage Grace (2007)
I actually enjoyed this one. It's based on a true story. Spoilers: The Death scene isn't great, but the infamous sex scene is pretty creepy and uncomfortable.

Midori: The Camellia Girl (2016)
Not as good or as cruel as the Anime it's based on. But it was definitely worth checking out for all the weirdness on display. And yes the eyeball licking scene is here in all its live action glory. lol

The Caged Flower (2013)
Holy shit was this was pleasant surprise. This was one wacky pink film. So this woman who is dealing with some childhood trauma gets involved with this juvenile kid who runs a slave website who is also abused by his mother. I mean, it's not the most extreme movie I've seen, not by long shot. It's also a bit slow, but god damn if there isn't some crazy fucked up shit in this movie. It's meant to be erotic but damn it's creepy in a perverted way. It's one of my new favorites. lol

ve been watching:

Woman of the Photographs (2020)
I watched this because I was hoping it would have some hardcore body horror scenes but sadly it didn't. It does have some body horror elements though, but it's more a weird Japanese indy film with some social commentary on photography and social media. Oh and it's also a love story of sorts as well. While I was disappointed by it, Woman of the Photographs was an interesting watch and overall I enjoyed it.

Don't Answer the Phone (1980)
Another disappointment. I was hoping for a super sleazy exploitation film and I only got a mildly sleazy exploitation film. And to make matters worse I found it dumb and overall boring. Oh well...

Yung (2018)
Have you ever thought to yourself "Man, whatever happen to Larry Clark?" (he's till around but that's another story lol), well look no further then the 2018 German film Yung. This film is sure to fill all your Clark needs. Yung is basically a more female centric reboot of the 90's classic Kids. Shot documentary style with teenage prostitution, cam girls, graphic sex scenes, sexual assault  and more drug use then a festival being headlined by Steve Aoki. Sure to offend. Some could label this art, but it's pretty damn exploitative. Artspliotation maybe?

Tomboy/The Assignment
Pepper
I enjoyed both of these. I'm a sucker for over-the-top revenge flicks.

I maybe preaching to extreme choir but you can't really go wrong with August Underground, it's a classic. And... What ever happen to the Pieces Of Talents people? They are were all over the net a few years ago. Did they just disappear? Or are they working on something new? Anybody? :)
