Offerings from '89. Takes a lot of elements of Halloween 1 & 2(originals) but not a bad effort. 5/10

Eyes of a Stranger(1981) Not enough of them but good kills. Decent story and cat n mouse midway through it. Not bad of an ending. 6.5/10

Halloween(2018) Probably my 3rd favorite/best in the series. Brutal. Like how it fleshed out the characters in the beginning and the relationships with grandma, daughter, granddaughter. As iconic as the mask is I could have been happy with Castle without the mask but very effective with it. The score speaks for itself. Brilliant. Like "Evil" Loomis but one scene needed Pleasence though(when he and Laurie see each other again after all these years. That scene came off as pretty weak. Just my opinion.) Overall 9/10

Vanished: Girl in the Woods. Solid for the most part. 7/10

House that Jack Built

Damn fine film. Not close to as brutal as its reputation, but I was expecting that to be the case. One thing I wasn't aware of is the fact its a loose adaptation of Dante's Inferno. I've not seen anyone bring this up. At the beginning of the film where he calls Bruno's voice 'Verge' I took it immediately as a homage to Virgil. But it ended up literally being him. With lines and scenes straight out of the epic story plucked from page to screen.

I'm a big fan of The Divine Comedy, so I was very pleasantly surprised by it. Also being Bruno's (second?) Last role. Going to miss that unbelievable actor. R.I.P.

8/10

found.(2012) Loved it! Watched it twice(first time was a lil distracted)but the second viewing holy shit its a film that really delivers. Relatable and convincing fleshed out characters/portrayals. Enjoyed the scenes with the brothers. Intense shit. As for the brutality in the kills just fucking awesome. Interestingly enough there have been serial killlers that got head from heads so that was a great touch to see with the killer here. Its shot so well too. Amazing what can be done with such a small budget . Easily 9/10.

Killbillies ~ Slovenian take on Wrong Turn/Hills have Eyes. Close enough any way. Not overly memorable but pretty good at times. Beautiful scenery though. Just wow. The subtitles give a few laughs. 5.5/10
