Adam Chaplin (2011)
« on: February 22, 2013, 09:39:51 AM »

Quote
Set in the fictional country of Heaven Valley, the film is the story of a man, Adam, who following the suspicious death of his wife begins to investigate her murder and in doing so, discovers the involvement of local mafia boss: Denny Richards.

Unable to trust the police, corrupt and controlled by Denny, Adam, consumed by anger, summons a demon who offers him superhuman strength and dark powers. The demon follows him during his trip, promising to lead Adam to the door of the murderer if he does everything the demon asks.

This unleashes a bloody war that will bring Adam, the demon on his side, against the police department with all its dark allies. The fight begins and it will be extreme!
Recently came across this whilst browsing Love Film and was pleasantly surprised. It's by no means a great movie but it's a highly enjoyable splatter fest.

Oh I been meaning to see both movies for quite a while, just love over the top splatter and this seems to really fit the bill!

I've ordered Taeter City as most of you may have noticed in Latest DVD etc Buys thread. As mentioned before it has been one I have been looking at for a while. Unsure why I haven't done a thread for it, will rectify soon enough.

Still need to see Adam Chaplin, there is a copy at Blockbusters but my gut instinct is it will be censored so don't want to bother with that.

was tired at the time and fell asleep near the end so missed it. A god fun movie with a tonne of practical gore effects interlaced with the  CGI. One of those movies though where the cgi didn't hurt at all due to the subject matter. Didn't have subs or dubbing which would have made this film better. Still enjoyed it though and will check it out again WITH said aspects at some point.

Only title I've heard of is Hotel Inferno.

I have Taeter City and Judy and dig them both for the madness they bring. Judy gets a bit of hate by most I have seen but I dug it myself. It is long in parts and there are some bizarre happenings with the conversations with her mom plus what she wears just to go out to the care. I feel if they edited it a bit shorter this would be way better.

The incorporation of CGI isn't a complete eyesore, they manage to blend it with the practical effects quite nicely :) Plus they aren't exactly
aiming for a "realistic" approach to blood distribution;)

So far Necrostorm's work has kept me entertained:
"Taeter City" has those fake advertisements/commericals I'm a complete sucker for, like in Robocop, etc.
"Hotel Inferno" with its POV perspective put a new spin onto my aesthetic experience.
"The Mildew from Planet Xonader" dismantles the human anatomy in good ways

I've been meaning to watch this and most of necrostorms works.  But the Cgi kinda runs it for me.  I'm picky haha.  But the flicks look so good and fun, maybe I need to quit be such an elitist

Necrostorm with their background in gaming gets a pass when it comes to the CGI...see it as a splicing of practical and...anime...and crazy as that to boot. Dig the oddball characters, the looks etc.

Only own two of their movies...Taeter City and Judy. Dug Adam Chaplin though and need to at some point experience the rest!
